My Intro | Madhavi Gogate : The Marathi Queen brimming with inspiration.

Madhavi is a dauntless seasoned actress who has served more than 3 decades in the entertainment industry. Born in Thane, Maharashtra she had worked her charms in many shows and series which had left people mesmerised on her acting skills. Her stronghold lies in Marathi TV series and movies where she gained the fame and a platform for showcasing her talents. Her primary education was done from New English School, Thane and her hobbies are listening to music and cooking apart from acting.

She began her acting career from theatre got her first break in Bollywood movies industry in 1987 from the movie ‘Sutradhar’. But she gained her much needed fame from the Marathi movie ‘Ghanchakkar’ in 1990. After the success, there was no turning back. Then she also gets featured in the ‘Satvapariksha’ which was a Marathi movie. She also got to show her skills in several TV shows like Baera, Ek Safar, Kahin to Hoga, Mrs Tendulkar. Some of these were dailysoaps and other comedies. These were in Hindi as well as Marathi. Her diverse and versatile character was portrayed in a well-groomed manner in these shows.

During a show ‘Dundh Legi Manzil Humme’ in 2010, she met with a car accident while she was going for her work in Pune. That forced her to retreat from the show and take rest for some time. But her immense love for the art brought her back to the screens. She said “Life doesn’t stop for an actor. I couldn’t stay away from work for long. Maybe it was also due to the prayers of my fans that I could recuperate early. It did not take me long to get back to acting, and I am enjoying every bit of it.” These were the brave words from Madhavi who had seen a tragedy in her life which could have ruined her career. But she returned with another show ‘Baba Aiso Varr Dhoondho’ in the same year which was featured on Imagine TV. Then she had acted in ‘Mrs Tendulkar’ which was aired on SAB TV where she was one of the lead.

Her acting looks very natural and can sometimes confuse you to be real. Her dedication and love for acting is staggering and can be validated from her return to acting after the accident. The mesmerising atmosphere created by her skills is gracious, and through her skills, she can soon be working with big names of Bollywood.
